Steal Olivia's NY Fashion Week Style!

Just when we thought Olivia was nowhere to be sighted at New York Fashion Week, my style crush was spotted at Rachel Roy's Spring 2012 presentation. Looking as chic as ever in a Reiss shirt, Mulberry pocket skirt and sandals by Charlotte Olympia, Olivia unsurprisingly caused a paparazzi frenzy with her ensemble.
Here's how you can steal her style for less:

Blouse, £30.00, Oasis

Skirt, £40.00, Oasis

Carvela Platform Evening Sandals, £120.00, ASOS.com

Sunglasses, £12.00, ASOS.com

Olivia was also spotted backstage at the Tibi fashion show, courtesy of The Blonde Salad :

Leather Shorts, £80.00, Oasis

River Island does Hermes!

Okay not literally, but almost!

A favourite of Hollywood superstars such as Victoria Beckham, the Olsens, Nicki Hilton and fashionista Olivia Palermo to name but a few, Hermes is renowned for it's handmade luggage and handbags. A favourite of mine, the "Kelly" bag takes about 18 - 24 hours to make usually by a craftsman who has been in the company for several decades.

With a year long waiting list and 100,000 price tag you could imagine my delight when, whilst browsing through River Island's latest A/W collection I discovered their "Oversized Padlock Bag" - it was like Christmas had come early! At £50.00 / 65.00, it's a steal as not only will it be a must have for the coming season, it's also a classic piece that never really goes out of fashion - Win!

New Girl In Town

Before you click to the next blog, I know what you're thinking - not ANOTHER fashion Blog. Truth  is, that's what I'm thinking too. I'm from a small town in Ireland, I don't own anything designer and I think Vintage apparel are simply overpriced, bad quality clothes.  So why should I be writing a Blog? Well, I'm writing for those on the lower rungs of the fashion ladder. I LIVE from the high street, I'm a total bargain buyer and I adore trawling through sale rails to put together my perfect look. I think the High Street has been overshadowed by pretentious fashion bloggers who refuse to wear anything unless it has s shiny label attached to it and encourage others to do the same. I admit it, I've often fallen for it and bought something way beyond my budget and left myself broke and depressed til my next pay check but no more - this blog is all about taking something from the high street and wearing it like you've just stepped out of the cover of Vogue or Elle. After all, fashion is not about what you're wearing - it's HOW you wear it that counts.
